At Gascoines, we have been actively monitoring the situation regarding the outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Our top priority is to ensure the welfare of our employees and customers whilst also ensuring that we continue to maintain the level of service that our vendors and landlords have come to expect from us.

As we prepare to deal with the difficult times ahead, we are writing to confirm that it will be business as normal for Gascoines Property Management and its landlords and tenants.

Prime Minister, Boris Johnson announced his intention to legislate to support tenants who are struggling to pay rent as a result of Coronavirus.

Our current understanding is that this means there will be a ban on new eviction proceedings for the next three months.

However, you should continue to pay your rent as normal, every month and on time. If you have any concerns and think you will have an issue paying your rent, it is imperative that you make us aware so we are able to keep our landlords informed and hopefully, come to some arrangements that suit everyone.

Until the situation changes, we will not be booking our routine inspections and would respectfully ask that you try and correspond by email or telephone, rather than come into the office. We especially ask that anyone showing any symptoms or who have recently returned from one of the affected countries, do not visit the office.

We will continue to monitor the situation and will make further decisions in-line with guidance from UK authorities.

Thank you for your co-operation and we hope that normal service can be resumed as soon as possible.

We have closed our Ravenshead Office for the moment and are operating from our Head Office in Southwell.

Our office opening times remain the same, but we shall be closing at 12pm on a Saturday for the foreseeable. Please contact us via telephone or email.

Stay safe from everyone at Gascoines
